At last year's Golden Globes, JODIE FOSTER'S sexuality came up, when host RICKY GERVAIS made a joke about it. She was there, and she smiled. At last night's Golden Globes, Jodie's sexuality came up again . . . but this time she brought it up herself, by finally confirming that she IS a lesbian.Jodie was being honored with the Cecil B. DeMille Award . . . when she gave a somewhat strange, but ridiculously good speech, where she came out, without actually "coming out."At first, she teased it as a big announcement. She said, quote, "I guess I just have just a sudden urge to say something that I've never really been able to air in public. "[It's] a declaration that I'm a little nervous about . . . but maybe not quite as nervous as my publicist right now. I'm just going to put it out there . . . loud and proud . . . I am single."She was joking, obviously. But then she went on: Quote, "This is not going to be a big coming out speech tonight because I already did my coming out about a thousand years ago back in the stone age . -"In those very quaint days when a fragile girl would open up to trusted friends and family and coworkers and then gradually proudly to everyone who knew her . . . but now apparently I'm told that every celebrity is expected to honor the details of their private life with a press conference, a fragrance and a primetime reality show."She added, "Seriously, if you had been a public figure from the time that you were a toddler, if you'd had to fight for a life that felt real and honest and normal against all odds, then maybe then you too would value privacy against all else. Privacy." Jodie then thanked her ex-girlfriend, who was there with their kids. She said, "There's no way I could ever stand here without acknowledging one of the deepest loves of my life, my heroic co-parent, my ex-partner in love, but righteous soul sister in life, my confessor, ski buddy, consigliere, most beloved BFF of 20 years, Cydney Bernard.-"Thank you, Cyd. I'm so proud of our modern family, our amazing sons, Charlie and Kit, who are my reason to breathe and to evolve, my blood and soul. And boys, in case you didn't know it, this song, like all of this, this song is for you."If that wasn't moving enough, she also paid tribute to her sick mother, who's suffering from dementia. She said, quote, "I love you, I love you, I love you and I hope if I say this three times, it will magically and perfectly enter into your soul . -"Fill you with grace, and the joy of knowing that you did good in this life. You're a great mom. Please take that with you when you're finally okay to go."

Kate Middleton's due date is official! Clarence House announced Monday morning that the Duchess of Cambridge, pregnant with her and Prince William's first child, is expecting the baby in July. According to AP, the royal couple "are delighted to confirm" the due date, although they still won't tell the world whether it's a boy or a girl, but the announcement seems to indicate that she is not, in fact, expecting twins. A July due date comes as a bit of a surprise: When the palace first announced Catherine's pregnancy in early December, reports speculated that the duchess was about 12 weeks along, putting her due date in May or June of 2013. A July due date means the announcement must have come even earlier, an unconventional move supposedly forced by Kate's worsening morning sickness, or hyperemesis gravidarum.
