During Part 1 of their interview last night, LANCE ARMSTRONG admitted to OPRAH WINFREY right up front that he used performance-enhancing drugs during all seven of his Tour de France wins. He was relatively straightforward in admitting he had no excuse . . . but at the same time, he did play the "everybody else was doing it" card a few times. Part 2 of the interview airs tonight. Lance said he started taking drugs in the mid-1990s. But he claims he did it for the last time in 2005 . . . meaning he was clean during his comeback, when he did the Tour de France in 2009 and 2010. (--He didn't win either of those.)-Lance said he didn't believe he was cheating at the time he was doping . . . quote, "I went and looked up the definition of cheat."And the definition is to gain an advantage on a rival or foe. I didn't view it that way. I viewed it as a level playing field."-Yes, Lance played the "everybody else was doing it" card. He said, quote, "It's been well-documented. I didn't invent the culture, but I didn't try to stop the culture, and that's my mistake. One thing Lance readily admitted to was that he ruined a lot of people who tried to call him out on his doping over the years. And he said he's trying to make amends .He said, "When I say that there are people that will hear this and will never forgive me, I understand that. I do. I have started that process. I think all of this is a process for me.-"One of the steps of that process is to speak to those people directly, and just say to them that I am sorry, and I was wrong. You were right."-One of the people he has already spoken to personally is BETSY ANDREU, the wife of Armstrong's former teammate FRANKIE ANDREU. And while she hasn't quite forgiven him yet, he did set one thing straight with her.-Apparently, she believed that he had called her, quote, "a fat, crazy [B-word]." But he says during their recent conversation, he told her, quote, "Listen, I called you crazy. I called you a [B-word], I called you all these things, but I never called you fat."
The "National Enquirer" claims TIGER WOODS and ELIN NORDEGREN are having sex again, and Tiger is so desperate to win her back that he offered her a $200 million prenup. She countered by demanding a $350 million no-cheating clause, and he's totally willing to go for it. Tiger paid Elin a $110 million settlement when they divorced.
At the "Golden Globes", TINA FEY and AMY POEHLER made a joke about TAYLOR SWIFT going after MICHAEL J. FOX'S 23-year-old son Sam. Would Michael be okay with that? Apparently not.He was asked about it at an event in New York City the other day and he said, quote, "No, no . . . just back off."Although he added that he hardly even knows who she is . . . quote, "I don't keep up with it at all. Taylor Swift writes songs about everybody she goes out with, right? What a way to build a career."

At least he was able to laugh about it.
I've always been convinced that when SHARON OSBOURNE has squeezed all the millions she can out of OZZY, she'll off him and collect the insurance. And maybe she tried to do that yesterday.-Because at around 5:00 A.M., a fire broke out at their Beverly Hills home. It started because Sharon fell asleep with a CANDLE still burning.-Luckily, firefighters showed up before things got out of hand. But Ozzy did suffer some minor injuries. Sharon described those injuries yesterday on "The Talk".She said, quote, "My husband had an operation on his hand yesterday so he's in a complete cast . . . He comes down and goes, ‘Oh, the fire, the fire!’ (and tries to put it out) with his hand in the cast."Then he opens the French doors and I go into the kitchen and throw water on it and it erupted."Ozzy's front of his hair from (his ear down is), gone! His eyebrows (are gone) . . . he's got like, skinned cheeks. We are, like, two idiots, it was like The Three Stooges. -"Everything you are not meant to do . . . go to bed with candles alight, open the doors and put water on . . . we did it all."She added, quote, "I apologize to my husband because he put himself out. He made his hand worse, it started to bleed, the whole nine yards, and I’m sorry and I love you and I will never light a candle again."-If it somehow matters to you, the candle was a gift from HOWARD STERN.

Since "Ted" is the highest-grossing R-rated comedy of all time internationally, a sequel is pretty much a no-brainer.On ANDERSON COOPER'S show today, MARK WAHLBERG says, quote, "Seth [MacFarlane] is writing now and I've never done a sequel before, but I have just so much confidence in Seth. He's such a talented and funny guy."He added that he and Ted, the computer-animated bear, will appear at the Oscars.

That's what I struggle with on a daily basis, knowing that there was a better way to handle it."
The second episode of American Idol delivered more drama, but a handful of singers managed to eclipse the ongoing feud between new judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj. And that's no easy task considering one of the battling divas is wearing a blonde and pink wig.The night's most memorable contestant was Lazaro Arbos. As he entered the audition room, one thing became immediately clear: the 21-year-old from Naples, Fla., had a severe stutter. Arbos, who emigrated from Cuba when he was 10, told viewers that he had few friends growing up due to his speech impediment. But something magical happened when he began to sing. His stutter vanished and he gave a moving performance of "Bridge Over Troubled Water." As the judges unanimously put him through to Hollywood, Arbos dissolved into tears.
