At a Super Bowl press conference yesterday, BEYONCÉ admitted to fudging it at PRESIDENT OBAMA'S inauguration.  But she didn't admit to straight-up lip-synching.She said , "I am a perfectionist . . . I practice 'til my feet bleed, and I did not have time to rehearse with the orchestra.  It was a live television show, and a very very important, emotional show for me, one of my proudest moments."And due to the weather, due to the delay, due to no proper sound-check I did not feel comfortable taking a risk."It was about the president and the inauguration, and I wanted to make him and my country proud, so I decided to sing along with my pre-recorded track, which is very common in the music industry and I'm very proud of my performance."

Beyoncé DID say that she'll be singing LIVE at the Super Bowl.  She said, "I will absolutely be singing live.  I am well-rehearsed . . . this is what I was born to do, what I'm born for."And she started off the press conference by singing the national anthem LIVE . . . maybe just to prove she could? One thing Beyoncé wouldn't do was admit that her halftime show will include a DESTINY'S CHILD reunion.

San Francisco 49ers cornerback CHRIS CULLIVER gave a kind of confusing, but not necessarily insincere, explanation for his anti-gay comments.  He said, quote, "The derogatory comments I made yesterday were a reflection of thoughts in my head, but they are not how I feel.  It has taken me seeing them in print to realize that they are hurtful and ugly.  Those discriminating feelings are truly not in my heart.  Further, I apologize to those who I have hurt and offended, and I pledge to learn and grow from this experience."

Volkswagen claims it got the okay from 100 Jamaicans for its supposedly racist Super Bowl commercial.  And now, a few more Jamaicans are giving their support.Singer SEAN PAUL sees the ad as, quote, "just entertainment" . . . adding, quote, "to me it's no different than the Italian accents in 'The Sopranos' or the English accent in Guy Ritchie's movies." -The guys from the group INNER CIRCLE agree.  They're the ones who sing "Bad Boys" . . . a.k.a. the "Cops" theme.  They said, quote, "Duplication is the highest form of flattery, and our culture is a happy culture with good vibes."

DAN MARINO fooled around with a CBS Sports production assistant back in late 2004 . . . and has a love child to show for it.  His daughter Chloe is now seven years old.  "The New York Post" says Dan paid his mistress millions of dollars to keep everything on the down-low, and that he has kept in contact with his daughter.  But Dan issued a statement saying he and his wife Claire, whom he married in 1985, are still very much together.

Just in case you weren't sure if "American Idol" had jumped the shark . . . it happened last night.  STEVEN TYLER showed up to the Oklahoma City auditions . . . in drag . . . as a woman named Pepper LaBeija.-That's the name of a famous drag queen who was featured in the 1990 documentary "Paris Is Burning".Steven was wearing a blonde wig, a snakeskin miniskirt, and fake breasts that honked when they were squeezed. -He didn't actually sing . . . but he did drop some of his trademark nonsense.  He said, quote, "I'm gonna judge your ass first.  The roosters may crow, but the hens deliver the goods."

As expected, Ben & Jerry's announced a new, "30 Rock"-inspired flavor during the show's series finale last night.  It isn't ice cream though, it's Greek frozen yogurt, and they made it lemon after Tina Fey’s character, Liz Lemon. It'll be available this spring.

Kristin Chenoweth says she was the victim of a screaming, angry flight attendant who bullied her and embarrassed her when she tried to board an American Airlines flight with her service dog ... and now the airline is begging for her forgiveness.TMZ has learned, the altercation went down on Tuesday as Kristin boarded a flight from Dallas to L.A.. We're told Kristin had her service dog in tow -- as she always does -- when she was confronted by a flight attendant supervisor who claimed Kristin didn't have the proper paperwork to bring the dog on board. When Kristin protested, insisting she had done everything correctly, the flight attendant erupted in front of several passengers ... scolding the actress ... and Kristin was so shaken up, she burst into tears.Eventually airline officials realized a mistake had been made -- and Kristin was allowed to board the flight with her dog. Whoops. After the flight, Kristin tweeted, "American Airlines: Dallas flight attnt supervisor Ms. Kidwell. Abuse not okay. #tripfromhell."Seems American Airlines was paying attention to the tweet -- because a rep for AA tells us, "We have been in touch with Ms. Chenoweth to offer our apologies for the misunderstanding. We refunded the [$125] cabin pet charge as soon as we realized the mistake. We hope she will consider flying American again in the future."Kristin wasn't lying when she said she flies with the dog all the time -- we shot video of her last month with her dog Madeline ... and everything seemed fine.

County Superior Court, claiming she was eating at Wolfgang's The Source Restaurant back in April ... when a waitress walloped her dome with a "heavy metal water pitcher." Tamara says the incident left her with a nasty concussion -- and Wolfgang's restaurant is 100 percent to blame because of its "negligently trained" staff. She's now suing for an unspecified amount in damages for lost income and medical expenses. We reached out to Wolfgang for comment -- so far, no word back.
