Director MICHAEL BAY was attacked on the set of "Transformers 4" in Hong Kong yesterday by a man wielding an AIR CONDITIONING UNIT. Bay was able to duck the air conditioner, then get it away from the guy. The attacker and two companions were then arrested.

The children of radio legend CASEY KASEM are trying to get control of his affairs away from his wife of 33 years, Jean Kasem. They recently filed a legal document saying Casey suffers from memory problems, hallucinations and impairment of his thinking and communication skills. Casey has advanced Parkinson's disease.
The man who shot and paralyzed LARRY FLYNT in 1978 is scheduled to die by lethal injection next month for murder, but Larry doesn't want it to happen. He says the death penalty doesn't work, and life in prison is a far worse punishment than, quote, "the quick release of a lethal injection." He also says he'd like to torture and paralyze the guy himself.
TOM HANKS would love to do a superhero movie, but not as "the guy in the suit who tells the superheroes what's going on." He wants to be either the hero or the villain. But he says, quote, "They don't ask me, man. I keep trying . . . I'll do anything, call me. They've never asked. What do I gotta do?"
"Glee" creator Ryan Murphy says the show will come to an end after NEXT season. He also said he's had to change his original plan for the final season, because it was going to heavily involve CORY MONTEITH'S character, Finn. Obviously, Cory's death makes that no longer a possibility.
Pixar's first ABC TV special . . . the Halloween-themed "Toy Story of Terror!" . . . attracted a big audience on Wednesday night. An estimated 10.3 million people tuned in, which made it TV's highest rated animated special in nearly two years.It even beat out those "A Charlie Brown Christmas" and "It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown" repeats, which ALWAYS deliver ratings. In fact, "Toy Story" has the Peanuts beat all the way back to a 2011 repeat of "Charlie Brown's Thanksgiving", which had 11.2 million viewers. Pixar previously announced that there would be at least one more "Toy Story" special. There aren't any details on it . . . except that it'll air sometime next year.

It's been a rough week for teen heartthrob Austin Mahone. After feeling ill for a few days, "Mahone was rushed to the hospital at 9 a.m. Thursday morning," a source close to the pop star says."It's unclear what the singer's condition is at this time," the source adds. Mahone posted an instagram in a hospital robe holding on to an iv drip, with the caption, "I've never felt so bad." In addition to his health being at risk, Mahone's headlining tour scheduled to kick off Thursday "may have to be rescheduled for early 2014," the source said at the time, before even more bad news was released. "Due to illness, Austin Mahone will unfortunately have to postpone his sold out MTV Artist to Watch Presents Tour to 2014," an official statement about the tour said. "The singer ... is now on strict Dr.'s orders to stay on rest and will need to reschedule all dates on the tour." Ticket holders for the sold out tour can rest assured they will be notified of the new 2014 dates and all details as soon as possible.

The singer chimed in on the recent "50 Shades of Grey" shakeup during an interview with London's KISS FM, saying she'd nominate James Franco to take on the role of Christian Grey.
