2020 Primetime Emmys to Go Virtual Amid Coronavirus Pandemic
- The 2020 Primetime Emmys are going virtual this year. The annual event, which is held normally at the Microsoft Theater in downtown Los Angeles, will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
- A letter was sent to nominees with little information regarding how the ceremony will work, but it did detail that a number of technicians, writers, and producers will be available to help Kimmel and make nominees, “look fabulous,” and there will be “good cameras and lighting to produce unique ‘on-screen’ moments.”
- The Primetime Emmys live broadcast happens on Sunday, September 20th on ABC.
