Ed Sheeran Speaks Out Following Victory In Copyright Case

After his Thinking Out Loud copyright victory, Ed Sheeran spoke out. The Thinking Out Loud singer was acquitted Thursday of copying Marvin Gaye’s Let’s Get It On for his 2014 single. “It’s all over, back to what I love doing,” Ed captioned an Instagram video after announcing the ruling. “New album out tomorrow, USA tour starts Saturday in Dallas, love you all.” Sheeran continued, “I am just a guy with a guitar who loves writing music for people to enjoy… I am not and will never allow myself to be a piggy bank for anyone to shake.” Ed had to miss his grandmother’s funeral due to the case, and he said he “would never get that time back.”
