Are you looking for a way to burn some calories before your big Thanksgiving feast? Well, if so, the annual Troy, NY Turkey Trot might be just the new tradition for you.
Although NYC has quite the Turkey Trot, nothing beats the sights you'll see during the historic Troy Turkey Trot!! Starting back in 1916, the Turkey Trot tradition has been on-going for families all over. And according to the Troy Turkey Trot's main website, this trot is notably the nation’s 12th and "world’s 64th oldest road race". And this Thanksgiving, November 23rd, you can become part of the tradition!!
The trot starts with the "Capital Region 10k" at 8:00AM. Following is the 1-mile "Turkey Walk" and "Grade School Mile" at 9:30am. And to finish off the Trot, is the annual 5k run at 10am!!
