Reports indicate that Disney is eager to secure a deal with Culkin, potentially offering a passion project to bring him back as Kevin McCallister. The proposed concept, developed by Culkin himself, flips the original premise: a preoccupied single father (Culkin) is locked out of his home by his own son and must overcome a series of booby traps to get back inside<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

After starring in the 1990 original, Culkin would come back for 1992's <\/span><\/span><\/span>Home Alone 2: Lost in New York<\/span><\/span><\/em>, his most recent appearance to date in the franchise. After that, another four movies were released in the Christmas franchise, with <\/span><\/span><\/span>Home Alone 4<\/span><\/span><\/em> choosing to recast the role of Kevin McCallister, who was played by Mike Weinberg. None of those follow-ups lived up to Culkin's original films, but a new entry could.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Macaulay Culkin was recently spotted on the Disney lot, sparking intense rumors that a highly anticipated Home Alone sequel starring the original Kevin McCallister is in active development.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

Culkin has previously mentioned a compelling pitch where an adult Kevin, now a struggling single father, finds himself locked out of his own house by his neglected son. In a brilliant role reversal, Kevin must cleverly navigate his angry son's elaborate traps to literally and metaphorically get back into his home and his child's heart. While Culkin seems ready if the script is right, significant hurdles still remain. <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

A true sequel might feel hollow without the iconic Wet Bandits, requiring the notoriously reclusive Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern to sign on, alongside convincing reluctant original director Chris Columbus to eventually return. This would be his first Christmas without his on screen mom and dad. But hey if A Christmas Story can do a sequel 40 years later, I think Home Alone is gonna be just fine!<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n\n

A blood emergency has been declared across New York as hospitals face critically low blood supplies heading into one of the busiest times of the year for trauma cases.<\/p>\n\n

According to officials with the New York Blood Center and New Jersey Blood Services, the region’s blood inventory has dropped to less than a two-day supply overall, while Type O blood is now sitting at less than a one-day supply.<\/p>\n\n

Healthcare leaders say all blood types are urgently needed.<\/p>\n\n

The shortage is being blamed in part on a sharp decline in donations. Blood centers report donations are down by 15 percent, which translates to roughly 4,500 fewer donations than hospitals need to keep up with demand.<\/p>\n\n

The timing couldn’t be worse.<\/p>\n\n

Summer is often referred to as “trauma season” by medical professionals because of the increase in serious accidents and injuries. Car crashes, outdoor accidents, and other emergencies during the warmer months often require large amounts of blood for lifesaving treatment.<\/p>\n\n

Officials are now calling on eligible donors to step up immediately to help prevent delays in critical care.<\/p>\n\n

One blood donation can help save multiple lives, and centers say even a small increase in donor turnout could make a major difference right now.<\/p>\n\n

If you’ve been considering donating, this is the time. Blood centers throughout New York and New Jersey are encouraging people to schedule appointments or walk in if eligible.<\/p>\n\n
