After 15 years, a major bookstore is returning to the Town of Wallkill as Barnes & Noble officially opens its doors on Wednesday, November 4th, at 10 a.m.
And here's something longtime Hudson Valley residents might remember. The new Barnes & Noble is moving into the same space once occupied by Borders Books!
The new 20,000-square-foot store will feature thousands of books, along with toys, games, magazines, vinyl records, DVDs, stationery and, of course, a Barnes & Noble Café. Because what's better than browsing books with a cup of coffee?
The grand opening will feature local author Mary Beth Keane, who will cut the ribbon and sign copies of her acclaimed book Whale Harbor.
And there's something for the kids, too! The Cat in the Hat will make a special appearance, with story time events planned throughout opening weekend.
It's great to see a bookstore return to this part of the Hudson Valley, especially in a space so many of us remember!
Welcome back to the neighborhood, Barnes & Noble!
