Looking for a great way to get moving and support a local cause?

The annual Cheryl Walk-or-Run 5K returns to Cornwall-on-Hudson on Sunday, October 25, bringing together runners, walkers, families and the community in memory of Mount Saint Mary College alumna Cheryl Walker.

The event raises money for the Cheryl L. Walker Nursing Scholarship, helping support the next generation of nurses and healthcare professionals.

Check-in and registration begin at 7:30 a.m., with the 5K stepping off at 9 a.m. through the scenic streets of Cornwall-on-Hudson. All ages and fitness levels are welcome, so you definitely don't have to be a serious runner to take part.

There’s also a kids' fun run, live music, breakfast for participants and an awards ceremony.

A little exercise, a lot of community spirit and a chance to help future nurses—that sounds like a pretty good Sunday morning in the Hudson Valley!
