Holiday Magic at the Arboretum

If you’re looking for that perfect dose of holiday cheer—minus the crowds, the chaos, and the last-minute shopping panic—Orange County has you covered. The 17th annual Holiday Lights in Bloom is back at the Arboretum in Thomas Bull Memorial Park, and trust me… this one’s worth bundling up for.

From November 28th through December 28th, every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 5–8 p.m., the Arboretum transforms into a sparkling, glowing wonderland. Imagine garden-themed light displays—giant flowers, whimsical animals, glowing insects—all tucked along peaceful walking paths. Kids will be wide-eyed, adults will feel like kids again, and everyone walks away a little more in the holiday spirit.

The best part? It’s totally FREE.

Yup—no tickets, no fees. Just pack the gloves and the good vibes. A couple quick notes: pets have to sit this one out, groups need to stay under 15 people, and parking fills up fast. Plan to arrive by 7pm so you have time to wander before the lights shut off at 8.

Because of construction at the Ottaway Education Center, the Friends of the Arboretum Holiday Boutique will be popping up in the greenhouses this year—open Nov. 28 through Dec. 20 (closed Sundays). It’s a great spot to grab a handmade gift or just warm up for a minute.

If you need details, directions, or just want to pre-plan your glow-filled adventure, hit up orangecountygov.com/parks or call 845-615-3828.
