Starting on October 6, Metro-North's Hudson Line will offer a "super-express" train service from Poughkeepsie to Grand Central, cutting the travel time to just under 90 minutes.

This upgrade comes nearly a year ahead of schedule and is made possible by optimized scheduling and upgraded signal systems. The improved service will run through spring 2026 and will also include more weekend trains in the Hudson Valley and expanded Long Island Rail Road service for Ryder Cup
