Newburgh Warming Station

Hey, it’s Scotty Mac, with frigid air forecasted for the remainder of January,  I want to give a shout out to on something truly important happening right here in our community.

If you or someone you know needs a safe, warm place to stay, the Newburgh Warming Station, operated by the Newburgh Ministry (Hope Safe Haven), is open year-round for adults at 13 Bridge Street in Newburgh.

The Warming Station is open overnight from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 a.m., with doors closing at 9:30 p.m. If someone needs to arrive later, that can be arranged with a police escort or following a hospital discharge, but it’s important to call ahead to make sure space is available.

And here’s something else people may not realize: guests can remain at the station during the day if they choose. That kind of stability and safety can make all the difference.

The station also provides both dinner and breakfast, helping ensure that guests aren’t just warm—but nourished too.

If you’re looking for more information or need to make accommodations, you can reach out directly to case aide Luis Gonzalez at 845-784-446.

We talk a lot on the radio about being there for one another, and this is a real example of that spirit in action. Whether you’re spreading the word, lending support, or know someone who needs help, the Newburgh Warming Station is doing vital work—every single day.

Pass the word.
