Here's a great reason to get out of the house Tuesday night!
Communities across the Hudson Valley will join thousands of neighborhoods nationwide for National Night Out on Tuesday, August 5—an evening dedicated to bringing neighbors, police officers, firefighters, EMS crews and local organizations together for a night of fun, food and community spirit.
Now in its 40+ year tradition, National Night Out is all about strengthening relationships between first responders and the communities they serve. It's a chance to meet the people behind the badges, explore emergency vehicles, enjoy family-friendly activities and celebrate what makes the Hudson Valley such a special place to call home.
Town of New Windsor: The 4th Annual National Night Out takes place from 5:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Kristi Babcock Memorial Park (660 Mount Airy Road).
Families can enjoy:
- Free food
- Bounce houses
- First responder field games
- K-9 demonstrations
- Emergency vehicles on display
- Meet-and-greet opportunities with local police, firefighters and EMS
The event will also feature representatives from the Orange County Sheriff's Office, New York State Police, New Windsor EMS, New Windsor Fire Department, Vails Gate Fire Department and local community organizations.
Town of Newburgh: The Town of Newburgh celebration runs from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. at Cronomer Park.

If you've been before, you know the K-9 demonstrations and emergency vehicles are always crowd favorites with kids.
City of Newburgh: The City of Newburgh Police Department will host its National Night Out from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Broadway between Johnston Street and Liberty Street with Fireworks!
