Verizon customers across the U.S. are reporting service issues today, with many phones stuck in SOS monde since around noon ET. Verizon confirms they’re aware of the problem impacting wireless voice and data and say engineers are working to fix it as quickly as possible.

If you have an emergency and can’t connect on Verizon, officials advise using a phone from another carrier, a landline, or going directly to a police precinct or fire station.
