This Sunday September 23rd the Battle of the Badges 5k will be at the Manchester Crossings Entrance of the Dutchess Rail Trail to support The Center for the Prevention of Child Abuse.

Four local departments will be competing against each others to see who can run the 5k the fastest, those departments are Arlington Professional Fire Fighters Local 2393, Town of Poughkeepsie Police PBA, Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office and the City of Beacon Police Department.

The 5k is part of the statewide "One Too Many 5k" an event held across New York to help support child advocacy centers.

The event is family friendly, so bring the kids and cheer on your favorite department! There will be food, games and Fit4Mom Dutchess County will also be there to keep children active with a scavenger hunt fun run.
