The Best Airports for Fast Food

If you're rearranging travel plans around this, you might be eating too much fast food in general . . .The travel site Upgraded Points ranked the Top 10 U.S. airports for fast food based on how easy it is to grab something if you're on a quick layover. They looked at the 60 busiest airports . . . how many fast-food joints they have . . . and how many people pass through each day.  Fewer people means shorter lines.  If you're jonesing for fast food, the best city to fly into is CINCINNATI.  The average number of daily passengers per fast food place is 6,916.  That's compared to an average of more than 25,000 passengers across all airports. The rest of the top five are George Bush Intercontinental in Houston . . . Ontario International near L.A. . . . Cleveland Hopkins International in Ohio . . . and Dulles International Airport near D.C.  (Here are the Top 15.) If you like variety, you should book a connecting flight into Dallas/Fort Worth.  It has 19 different fast-food chains to choose from.  LaGuardia in New York only has one . . . a Shake Shack in Terminal B.  But technically Logan airport in Boston tied for worst with zero fast-food places.  That's also the case at Midway Airport in Chicago, and seven more of America's 60 busiest airports. They also looked at the chains you're most likely to encounter, no matter where you fly . . . and Chick-fil-A reigns supreme.  42% of the airports they looked at have at least one Chick-fil-A, and some have multiple.  Burger King is next at 30%.  Then Wendy's, 28% . . . McDonald's and Subway, 27% . . . and Panda Express, 25%.
