Halloween night was a surprise for Saturday Night Live fans as Gracie Abrams took the stage for a cinematic performance.
Gracie performed “Hit the Wall” and “Here You Come, There You Go” with a costume change of Juliet and then Romeo. She channeled Baz Luhrmann’s iconic 1996 film Romeo + Juliet, for a visual tribute.
“Hit the Wall” is the lead single from her third studio album, Daughter from Hell, in which she stood behind an aquarium, recreating the moment Juliet first caught sight of Romeo through the fish tank during her SNL performance.
The second song she did was “Here You Come, There You Go,” where she changed into Leonardo DiCaprio’s signature Hawaiian shirt and knight’s armor.
Gracie Abrams is most notably known for her hits like “That’s So True” and “I Love You, I’m Sorry,” but that is not to discount what we could hear and see on the deluxe version of Daughter from Hell that is releasing November 20th that’ll include 5 brand new songs.
The initial version of the record earned Gracie her first No.1 debut on the Billboard 200, something that not many artists can say they’ve achieved.
Abrams’ career has blown up within the past year or two, an artist who really took time growing in fame before getting to where she’s at now– almost the opposite of an overnight sensation
