The Queen of Pop is heading back to the VMAs and it’s been a minute!

Madonna is set to open the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards in Los Angeles, marking her first performance at the show in 23 years. And she’s not exactly showing up quietly — Madonna has 11 nominations heading into the night.

Of course, Madonna and the VMAs go way back. She’s already won 19 Moon Person awards and has delivered some of the most unforgettable performances in the history of the ceremony.
