Cassettes are trendy again, so Maxell is bringing back its classic personal tape player. Even better, they've added modern features like Bluetooth and USB-C charging. The players will cost you $80 to $100.
You've probably heard about how VINYL has had a major resurgence . . . and now, CASSETTES are having a moment.
Cassettes are becoming so trendy again that the electronics company Maxell is bringing back its classic personal tape player. And they've even added modern features like Bluetooth and USB-C charging. Unlike some modern devices, they did NOT nix the headphone jack. The battery life is decent . . . at about 11 hours of Bluetooth playtime. And the player comes with a BELT CLIP for that nice, old-school feel.
They aren't cheap though. Maxell's list price is $100, but Amazon has them for around $80. And if you want to get back into mixtapes, you can grab a five-pack of blank cassettes for around $15.
Converting cassettes to digital is going to be very time consuming but well worth it in the end. Time to start "diggin' in the crates".
