Minute Maid Is Discontinuing Its Frozen Canned Juices After 80 Years

This is a nostalgic kick to the crotch for anyone who made lemonade pre-millennium . . . Minute Maid announced they're discontinuing their frozen canned juices. They've been taking up space in our freezers for 80 years.

If your mom made lemonade or orange juice in the '80s, '90s, or earlier, it's probably what she used.  Open a can . . . plop it in a pitcher . . . mix it up . . . drink.

They were meant for soldiers in World War Two, until the war ended.  The first cans of "frozen concentrated" OJ hit stores 80 years ago in 1946.

Coca-Cola owns Minute Maid now and blamed "shifting consumer preferences."  The cans just aren't as popular as they used to be, and they've got lots of competition from generic versions too.

So, rest in peace, Minute Maid cans.  You were cheap and . . . pretty good?
