Hiring a MAGICIAN for your ADULT birthday party is the hot new trend.  They used to be something you'd only see at kids' parties.  Now people in their 20s are hiring them.

Google says "magician for hire" searches are at an all-time high.  Searches for "party magicians" for adults have also been trending over the past month.

TikTok is all over the trend, so that's why it's blowing up.  Search for "party magician" on there and you'll find a bunch of videos. 

"Cosmo" just did a story and blamed the trend on "whimsy deficiency."  (???)  They say Gen Z had a rough go of it during the pandemic, not a normal transition into adulthood.  So they're looking for ways to revisit their childhood.  And a night of half-decent card tricks can scratch that itch. They also think that being surprised IN REAL LIFE still has an edge in a world of endless A.I. slop.  Especially when you're in a group. They say it's "refreshing to share that feeling of awe and confusion" with your friends.  And "given the information overload we face every day, we deserve a moment to [feel] naïve." 

So my question is, are magicians/illusionists like Criss Angel and David Blaine available? I do have a birthday coming up in a few months ;)
