There's a small town in Texas called "Happy," with the motto:  "The Town without a Frown."  About 600 people live there . . . happily, I guess.

 

 

A study ranked more than 180 of America's biggest cities by HAPPINESS . . . using factors like:  Life satisfaction scores, depression rates, physical and emotional health, income growth, employment, job satisfaction, and weather.

 

 

The 10 happiest cities are:  Fremont, California . . . Bismarck, North Dakota . . . Scottsdale, Arizona . . . South Burlington, Vermont . . . Fargo, North Dakota . . . Overland Park, Kansas . . . Charleston, South Carolina . . . Irvine, California . . . Gilbert, Arizona . . . and San Jose, California

And the 10 at the bottom of the list are:  Detroit, which ranked last at 182nd . . . Memphis . . . Shreveport, Louisiana . . . Cleveland . . . Huntington, West Virginia . . . Toledo, Ohio . . . Augusta, Georgia . . . Fort Smith, Arkansas . . . Dover, Delaware . . . and Akron, Ohio.  (
